Do you use preservatives in your products?
All products are preservative free, as Lizzy feels strongly about making products that are healthy, natural and can be used by everyone!
Do you test your products on animals?
Our skin health products are never tested on animals. We do, however, give our dogs a snuggle test every day!
Do you use fragrances or chemicals to enhance the scent of your products?
Our skin health products are free of chemicals and fragrances as they may cause allergic reactions. We only use 100% pure essential oils to give our products their lovely scents.
What is the difference between Lizzy James' Surface Sanitizer and regular cleaning products?
Our Surface Sanitizer contains 70% alcohol, as well as natural essential oils. These ingredients have anti-bacterial and disinfectant properties that kill 99.9% bacteria and viruses, including the novel coronavirus.
To be safe, The CDC and WHO recommend households should consider using surface sanitizers with at least 70% of alcohol. Most household-grade chemicals are less effective than hospital-grade disinfectants.
How are your hand sanitizers different from store bought sanitizers?
ALL Lizzy James sanitizers contain alcohol content of 75%.
WHO and CDC recommend that alcohol content exceed 60%. Many sanitizers contain significantly less than 60%, and will not help prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses like COVID19. If your sanitizer does not state explicitly the alcohol content, do not buy it.
Lizzy James sanitizers include a moisturizer to reduce or prevent drying of the skin.
Many hand sanitizers do not, which accelerates dry skin.
Lizzy James sanitizers do not contain preservatives or coloring agents.
Many sanitizers are made with coloring agents & preservatives. These are of no therapeutic benefit to the user.
Lizzy James is registered with the FDA.
Our sanitizers are hand crafted in small batches in our San Diego studio.
Many sanitizers are manufactured overseas and do not follow FDA, CDC or WHO guidelines.
What do I do if my body butter melts?
As a result of being all-natural, our delicate products like body butter are sensitive to temperature changes. During very warm weather, products may soften or melt in transit as they sit in warm mail trucks and mailboxes. Melting is a natural reaction to heat and we have no control over the conditions during transit or delivery.
Not to worry though, the quality and healing properties of our body butter are not affected by melting, and you can easily get them back to a solid simply by putting it in the refrigerator! The whipped consistency will change to a decadent body balm once melted and then refrigerated and has a wonderful cooling effect when applied to the skin.
If you receive your body butter on a very warm day, we suggest placing it in the refrigerator prior to opening just in case it has melted in transit.
